On March 6th, Kermit ISD students competed in the Unified Track Meet in Monahans. Unified Track is a joint effort between UIL and Special Olympics Texas to recognize and offer opportunities for students with and without disabilities to compete in UIL competitions and activities.

Ruben Cervantes, our Texas Association of School Boards Representative, stopped by the Board Meeting to present Kermit ISD with a check for $1000! This honor was awarded to us because our Superintendent, Dr. Joe Lopez, was a Top 5 Finalist for Superintendent of the Year.
KJHS students and teachers are working on decorating their doors for the holidays during AVID Class for the 6th - 8th grade and 1st period for the 5th grade. Stay tuned for the finished doors.
