Go YellowJackets!
Kermit ISD family. We are aware of ongoing menacing statements being made toward KISD. I have been In contact with local law enforcement and district and campus leadership regarding this issue. At this time, KISD will be conducting classes as scheduled tomorrow. After reviewing all of the factors and information we have at this time, we feel that we have a proactive security plan in place that will assure student and staff safety. Again, we will not allow the actions of of a few individuals to deter us from the important role of educating the children of KISD. If you have any information regarding these online statements, please notify the Kermit Police Department or a member of the KISD leadership team. It is a great day to be a Kermit Yellowjacket and living in the great community of Kermit, Texas.
