Monday are High School boys and girls golf teams competed and finished the second round of district play. They fought through windy and cold conditions in the morning. Both girls and boys teams competed excellently and will be advancing to the regional round.

Friday, March 31, 2022 Lexi Urquidi competed at the Skillsusatx Leadership and Skills State Conference in Corpus Christi, in the Welding I Category. I am beyond honored to have been able to be a part of this very talented and courageous young lady's journey in welding. Although she did not place at this level, she represented Kermit High School so wonderfully! I was complemented continuously at how well mannered and so mature she conducted herself! Thank you Kermit ISD! I think this is the beginning of an amazing adventure for all our future CTE students!

Great hard fought JV boys baseball game in a non-district battle against Midland Trinity JV. We didn't come out with the win this time. However, the team fought hard to the very end. In the end it wasn't enough. Remember we don't lose, but learn! Love you guys. Keep grinding, working hard, and uplifting each other. I would also like to thank Kermit fans who came out and supported us. It is greatly appreciated. GO JACKETS!!

Yesterday the Kermit High Tennis team competed in District play in Fort Stockton. Varsity Boys and Girls finished District runner up, Boys Double District champs Zamarion Connally and Yosmar Acevedo, 2nd place Boys Double Omar Gomez and Isaish Uquidi. Girls Double District Champ Larisa Quiroz and Zaydie Pando. Mix Double 2nd Place Fernado Cazarin and Jasmine Romas. Nayelli Hernandez these players will advance to regionals in Abilene. The Lady Jacket softball team teaveled to Tornillo tonight to play thier 4th district game. After falling behind in the first inning 6-2, they came roaring back to end the game by run rule in the 5th inning, winning 26-9.
No School on Wednesday March 30th
STUCo picture at Spring conference district 8 meet in Seminole March 2nd. We brought home Sweepstakes Award! We received awards in Outstanding STUCo, Pride and Patriotism, DASH, Energy and Environmental, and Community Service. We had 29 students and two sponsors attend.
Kermit ISD One Act Play performed for the community tonight. Awesome job by the Kermit High School actors and cast.

Congratulations to Zamarion Connally and Cameron Thompson on their selections to the TABC All-Region Boys Basketball Team for 2021-2022. These two athletes were selected as 2 of 20 athletes and 54 teams in the region.
Paige Ramirez will be advancing to the State Visual Arts Scholastic Event at San Marcos High School in San Marcos April 29-30th. Paige received two medals for her artwork "Sweet Tooth at the Regional/Area event at Permian High School.
Last night Kermit hosted the Region 18 Unified Area track meet. Kermit won the meet and will advance to Regionals on April 14 in Abilene at ACU. I would like to thank all those who came and supported the athletes. A big thank you to all the student volunteers who came out to help as well. Unified coaches would like to thank our administration for their support of the Unified Track program. Finally, when you see a Unified track participant please congratulate them not only for winning but for the sportsmanship they showed to all the participants yesterday.

On Tuesday, March 8th the Kermit High School K-Band competed at the Region UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation hosted by Andrews High School. The K-Band received straight 1s in Concert!
Lady Jacket Softball kicked off district at home against Anthony. The girls blew past Anthony winning by run rule in the 5th inning, 19-4. Congratulations ladies.
Lady Jacket powerlifting team competed at the state meet in a Corpus Christi. All of our 5 qualifiers represented Kermit well. We had 2 state medalists. Congratulations to Zenia Florez and Izabela Amaro for bringing home 3rd place medals!
Kermit ISD will start school at 10:00 am, Friday, February 4, 2022 , due to the inclement weather we are experiencing.
Maintenance will report at 7:00 a.m. to help all campuses.
Office staff and custodial crews are to report at 8:00 a.m.
Central administration personnel and administrators are to report by 9:00 a.m. to answer phones and be available to the public.
Buses will start with their routes at 9:00 a.m.
Teacher and support staff are to report by 9:15 a.m. Students will be allowed to be dropped off as early as 9:30 a.m. at each campus.
